Aberdeen Wings News Release
The Aberdeen Wings were in action Friday taking on the Minot Minotauros, part of a two-game road series. The Wings just coming off a 1-0 victory at home on New Years Eve were hungry for their first win in 2015.
Needless to say, the game was scoreless in regulation. Both goaltenders played extremely well for both teams. Wings goaltender #1 Chad Catt (G-Williamstown, MI) stopped all 40 shots in regulation. In overtime, neither team would get a solid scoring opportunity sending the game into a shootout.
In the shootout, Wings forward #16 Kyle Haak (F-Okemos, MI) would score to open it up. Minotauros forward Johnny Walker would score, but Wings defenseman #10 Tanner Okeson (D-Roseau, MN) would score in the shootout. Catt would make the final stop giving the Wings the 1-0 victory.
