
Wings Announce First Tender

Aberdeen Wings News Release
The Aberdeen Wings, proud members of the North American Hockey League, are pleased to announce the signing of Grant Ledford to a tender agreement for the 2016-2017 season. Â A 6'3, 190 pound forward, Ledford becomes the first player signed to a tender by the Wings for next season. Â Ledford is a 1998 born right shot forward and hails from Jackson, MI. Â He is currently in his first season playing at the U18 AAA level for the Meijer Hockey Club in the North American Prospects Hockey League.
"Grant is a hard skating power forward who plays a strong physical game," Assistant Coach / Director of Scouting Mike Grattan said. Â "He has a solid frame and uses it to his team's advantage."
Meijer AAA is the former Lansing Capitals program where current Wings forward Kieran Durgan played his midget hockey. Â The Meijer/Lansing Capitals program also produced former Wing Ronnie Hein, who currently plays for Waterloo in the USHL, and is committed to Ferris State University for next season.
