
Wings Acquire Former Defenseman

The Aberdeen Wings have acquired defenseman Ryan Cook from the Lincoln Stars of the USHL via trade.
Wings fans will recognize the name as a defenseman from the 2013-2014 Aberdeen Wings. Cook, a native of Lancaster, NY played in 55 games with the Wings last season scoring 2 goals and 11 assists. The 6'3", 200lbs defenseman played alongside current injured defenseman #3 Daniel Billett (D-Highlands Ranch, CO).
Cook was picked up by the Cedar Rapids Roughriders of the USHL during their off-season camp. Before the 2014-2015 season began, Cook was traded to the Lincoln Stars for a draft pick. With the Stars, he saw action in 28 games tallying two assists.
Cook will join the Wings blue line for the rest of the season and this weekend for a home game Thursday night vs. the Brookings Blizzard, and a two-game road series with the Bismarck Bobcats.
