
Wingnuts vs. Sand Gnats in Second Round of Best Logo Tourney

WICHITA, KS- The Wichita Wingnuts will face their second and toughest test today, as they battle the Savannah Sand Gnats in the second round of CNBC.com's best minor league baseball logo contest.
The contest, which will run through March 31, features 64 teams in a single-elimination bracket decided by online voting. The Wingnuts entered the tournament as a number 12 seed and defeated the number five seed Inland Empire 66 convincingly in the first round. The Wingnuts will have their hands full today versus the number four seed Savannah. Fans can place their votes here: http://www.cnbc.com/id/23706466.
Wichita's newest baseball franchise will begin their inaugural season of play on May 7th, when they host the Sioux City Explorers for a three-game set at Lawrence Dumont Stadium. The Wichita Thunder, meanwhile, returns to action on Friday when they travel to Oklahoma City for a 7:35 p.m. face-off with the Blazers.
