Windy City Bulls Fall to Grand Rapids 121-91

Grand Rapids, MI- The Windy City Bulls (6-6), presented by BMO Harris Bank, the official NBA Development League affiliate of the Chicago Bulls, fell 121-91 to the Grand Rapids Drive on Wednesday evening at the DeltaPlex Arena in Michigan. The Drive improved to 5-7 on the season, snapping a four game losing streak.

Windy City was led by guard Aaron Thomas who scored 23 points, including 19 in the first half. Recently acquired guard Andre Dawkins, who was playing in just his third game of the season with the Bulls, finished with 19 points. Forward Alfonzo McKinnie added 14 points to go along with a team-high seven rebounds.

Center Henry Ellenson, who was on assignment from the Detroit Pistons, finished with 20 points and eight rebounds for the Drive. Guard Jordan Crawford added 20 points and seven rebounds.

Windy City got off to a hot start, jumping out to a 29-17 lead late in the first quarter before the Drive answered back in the second quarter, outscoring the Bulls by 12 while taking a 59-55 lead into the locker room at the half.

Grand Rapids extended their lead to nine points heading into the fourth quarter when they put the contest away by outscoring Windy City 32-11 in the final frame.

The Drive shot 54.5% from the floor while outrebounding the Bulls 50-38.

Windy City returns home to the Sears Centre Arena this weekend for a doubleheader on Friday against the Greensboro Swarm and Saturday against the Delaware 87ers. For tickets and game information, visit www.WindyCityBulls.com.
