Windsor Spitfires Defeat Barrie Colts 4-3 In Overtime

Spitfires' Game Notes - Rogers OHL Championship Series, Game One

- With tonight's 4-3 overtime win over the Colts in Barrie, Windsor has won five consecutive playoff games and has taken a 1-0 lead in the Rogers OHL Championship Series. This marked the first time that Barrie has lost at home in the 2010 playoffs and also the first time that they have trailed in a series.

- Windsor outshot Barrie 48-32 and the Spitfires have outshot their opponents in 15 of their 16 playoff games.

- Forward Taylor Hall extended his league leading playoff point streak to 16 consecutive playoff games tonight as he scored the game winning goal 2:35 into overtime and was selected as the game's First Star. He also leads the Spitfires in points while being ranked second in the OHL with 29 points in the playoffs, and is also ranked first in the league with a +16 plus-minus rating. Hall is also ranked third in the OHL and second on the Spitfires with 15 goals in the post-season and is ranked fifth in the league with 14 assists.

- Defenceman Mark Cundari scored the game tying goal at the 16:44 mark of the third period and was selected as the game's Second Star. Cundari is ranked second in the OHL with a +15 plus-minus rating and fourth in the league amongst all defencemen with 14 points in 16 games.

- Forward Adam Henrique scored Windsor's first goal tonight. He has scored at least one goal in seven consecutive games, which is the longest streak in the OHL post-season and in ten of his past eleven playoff games. Henrique leads the Spitfires and is second in the OHL in goals scored with 16. He is also ranked third on the team and tied for seventh in the league with 21 points in 16 playoff games.

- Goaltender Philipp Grubauer won his fifth consecutive game of the series, stopping 29 of 32 shots faced. He is also ranked first in the OHL with two shutouts and is ranked first in the league with 13 wins in 15 playoff games.

- Defenceman Ryan Ellis scored Windsor's second goal tonight and assisted on the game winning goal. Ellis has posted at least one point in all but two of the Spitfires' playoff games. Ellis is ranked first amongst all OHL defencemen, and is second on the Spitfires in scoring while being ranked third overall in the OHL with 28 points in 16 playoff games. He also leads all defencemen and is ranked first in the league with 25 assists.

- Windsor scored one goal on four power play opportunities while holding Barrie without a power play goal on four chances. The Spitfires have not allowed a power play goal in four consecutive playoff games.
