JOLIET, IL - The Joliet JackHammers and World Data Systems are offering nine children a chance to win a FREE BASEBALL SCHOLARSHIP to the JackHammers one day Camp Construction on Saturday, August 21st! The camp is open to children ages 6 to 13. Not only will campers learn fundamentals of the game, but they will get to work with their favorite JackHammers players at Silver Cross Field!
In order to qualify each child must submit a short essay on why he or she would like to be chosen to win the scholarship and what makes them a great baseball player. All essays must be submitted to Margaret@jackhammerbaseball.com or sent to the attention of Margaret Dixon at 1 Mayor Art Schultz Dr. Joliet IL 60432 by Thursday, August 19th. Winners will be announced on Friday, August 20th at the JackHammers game.
Camp Construction will begin at 9 a.m. with a group stretch and then move on to a series of instructional sessions at various stations located throughout the ballpark. Camp will break for lunch at noon and the campers can be picked up at 12:30 p.m.
The cost of the camp is $75 and each camper will receive the following:

All children that come out will also receive a ticket to Saturday night's game, when the JackHammers take on the Kansas City T-Bones!
