KANSAS CITY, Kan. - The Rockford RiverHawks' eight-game winning streak is on hold.
Friday's game at Kansas City was rained out. The start of the game was delayed by heavy thunderstorms for more than three hours before the field was determined to be unplayable.
The rainout will be made up as part of a doubleheader at 5:05 p.m. Saturday. The game is not scheduled to be broadcast. The RiverHawks will be back on the air for Sunday's 5:05 p.m. series finale.
The RiverHawks are home for a doubleheader against Fargo at 6:05 p.m. Monday.
The RiverHawks are members of the Northern League, an eight-team independent professional baseball league in its 18th season.
