Weekly Rewind

Fri., Mar. 20 - Penguins 1 at SYRACUSE 2 (OT)

W-B/Scranton was able to rally to force overtime, but fell short in a 2-1 loss against the Crunch. Captain Tom Kostopoulos tied the score with 8:38 left in the third to send the game past regulation. In the extra session, Syracuse's Slater Koekkoek completed a 3-on-1 rush with 2:08 remaining for the game-winner.

Sat., Mar. 21 - PENGUINS 3 vs. Binghamton 4

Binghamton struck twice in the third period for a 4-3 victory over W-B/Scranton. The Penguins' Scott Wilson broke a 2-2 tie with 15.2 seconds left in the second period. Max McCormick and Shane Prince tallied goals in the third to secure the win for Binghamton. Taylor Chorney recorded three assists in the loss for W-B/Scranton.

Sun., Mar. 22 - Penguins 3 at LEHIGH VALLEY 0

Matt Murray made 32 saves to collect his 10th shutout of the season as W-B/Scranton put an end to a three-game winless streak with a 3-0 win over Lehigh Valley. After a scoreless first period, Tom Kostopoulos and Bobby Farnham scored 63 seconds apart to give the Penguins a 2-0 lead.

The Week Ahead

Fri., Mar. 27 - Penguins at BINGHAMTON

Binghamton sits in fourth place in the East Division with a record of 28-29-7-1. Buddy Robinson is tied for first in the league in shorthanded goals (3) and shorthanded points (5).

Sat., Mar. 28 - Penguins at LEHIGH VALLEY

The Phantoms have a record of 29-27-6-1, putting them in third place in the East Division and 12th in the Eastern Conference. Brandon Manning is first in the AHL with 25 power play points and also ranks second with 19 power play assists.

- Matt Murray registered his league-leading 10th shutout of the season against the Lehigh Valley Phantoms on Sunday afternoon, breaking the AHL mark for shutouts in a season by a rookie goaltender (Gordie Bell, Buffalo - 1942-43 and Wade Dubielewicz, Bridgeport - 2003-04).

- Murray is 16-2-1 in his last 19 starts and leads the AHL in goals against average (1.56), save percentage (.941) and shutouts (10).

- Taylor Chorney set a career-high for points and assists in a game (3A) on Saturday versus Binghamton.

- Wilkes-Barre/Scranton is 12-0-2-1 when Tom Kostopolous scores a goal and 25-2-3-1 when he registers a point. He has also netted three of the team's last four game-winning goals.

- The Penguins have posted points in 20 of their last 24 games (17-4-2-1).

- The Penguins' magic number currently stands at 15.
