Wilderness Get Swept by the Jets over the Weekend

MN Wilderness 1 @ Janesville 2 (OT) - The Jets closed the gap on the Wilderness thanks to a 2-1 overtime win on Friday. The Wilderness opened the scoring in the 1st period with their lone goal of the game from Connor Bucsis. After a scoreless 2nd period, the Jets tied the game midway through the 3rd period with a power play goal from Cole Paskus. Just over two minutes into overtime, the Jets won the game thanks to a nice give-and-go play to Kip Hoffman, who slipped a shot past Wilderness goalie Chase Munroe to win the game. Jets goalie Jack LaFontaine made 29 saves in the win, while Munroe made 18 saves in the loss.

MN Wilderness 2 @ Janesville 8 - It was all Jets from start to finish as Adam Winborg and Dawson DiPietro each had five points as the Jets beat the Wilderness, 8-2, which also completed a weekend home sweep. DiPietro put the home side ahead 2-0 in the 1st period with a pair of goals. The lead swelled to 5-0 in the 2nd period as Adam Roeder, Shane Sellar and Kip Hoffman all scored. The Wilderness would answer with goals from Nick Altmann and Janis Jaks sandwiched between a goal from Adrian Holesinsky to make the scored 6-2 early in the 3rd period. Winborg then added two goals later in the 3rd period to make the final 8-2. Jets goalie Jack LaFontaine made 24 saves in the win.
