AMARILLO, TX - The Amarillo Bulls played two hard fought games against the Topeka RoadRunners on home ice over the weekend falling 2-1 in the dying seconds and 4-2. It's quickly back to work for the Bulls as they return to action tomorrow (Tuesday) facing the Odessa Jackalopes and then back to the road this coming weekend facing the Wichita Falls Wildcats.
BULLS IN THE COMMUNITY: The Amarillo Bulls will be visiting the Don Harrington Discovery Center today (Monday) at 2:45 pm to participate in the Pie Eating Contest. It's been a busy stretch in the community for the Bulls helping out at a variety of events from the Just Between Friends Sale, to the Make A Wish Car Show as well as the Snack-Pack-4-Kids Garden Party.
RADIO SHOW TONIGHT: Head Coach Matt Nicholson and Assistant Coach Tony Attanucci headline the Amarillo Bulls Radio Show Tonight at Seven Bar and Grill located on Soncy Road in Amarillo. The coaches will discuss their recruiting trip recently and about the busy upcoming schedule. Rick Matchett and Austin Sutter will also be on the program tonight. HITTING THE ROAD THIS WEEK: It's three games away from home this week for the Amarillo Bulls. The action starts tomorrow (Tuesday) night when the Bulls visit the Odessa Jackalopes at 7 pm. The Bulls then return to Wichita Falls to face the Wildcats on Friday and Saturday at 7 pm at Kay Yeager Coliseum.
BROADCAST OPTIONS: All three games this week will air live on CBS Sports Radio 1440, online at www.amarillobulls.com and on PPV with Fast Hockey, beginning with the Wayland Baptist University Warm Up Show at 6:40 pm. Denis J. Puska has the hard hitting action to follow.
BULLS NEXT AT HOME: The final two home games of the regular season for the Amarillo Bulls take place on Friday, Mar. 25 and Saturday, Mar. 26 at 7 pm against the Lone Star Brahmas. Friday is presented by Amarillo College and the Musical Texas. There will be free tickets for High School seniors for that game. Saturday is sponsored by The Peoples Federal Credit Union and fans who show up early receive a Pucky The Pig Piggy Bank.
SPECIALTY JERSEY ENCORE - JERSEY OFF OUR BACKS: The Amarillo Bulls will be wearing special 400 jerseys for their final two home games against the Lone Star Brahmas. The jerseys are in honor of the Bulls' 400 North American Hockey League game. Fans will be able to win one of those by buying a ticket for just $5 in support of Amarillo Youth Hockey. The drawing for those jerseys takes place immediately after the game on the Saturday on the Ice.
SEASON TICKETS AVAILABLE: It's not too early to start thinking about next season. The Amarillo Bulls are proud to announce that 2016-17 Season Tickets are now available. There are various seat prices to fit everyone's budget. Fans can take advantage of the early bird special before April 1st. HOCKEY N'HEELS: The Amarillo Bulls 4th annual Hockey N'Heels is set for Wednesday, Mar. 23 at 6 pm in The Corral at the Amarillo Civic Center. Tickets are $10 for Season Ticket Holders and $15 for the General Public. The nigh includes Hockey 101, Ice Skating, shootout for Prizes and more. WEEKEND REWIND:
TOPEKA ROADRUNNERS 2 - AMARILLO BULLS 1: The RoadRunners net the game winner with 4.9 seconds remaining in regulation time. Nick Santoro scored for Amarillo in the first period from Michael Forman and Charlie Singerhouse. Anton Martinsson took the loss in goal.
TOPEKA ROADRUNNERS 4 - AMARILLO BULLS 2: The Bulls saw a 2-1 lead heading into the third period evaporate. Charlie Singerhouse and Michael Forman tallied for the Bulls in the contest while Brian Baker was in goal.
