The North American Hockey League (NAHL) has announced today its division stars of the week for week ending March 13 and Rebels goalie Darion Hanson was named second star while teammate Dean Balsamo was named honorable mentioned.

Hanson was between the pipes for both games this weekend. He allowed only one goal and he had a .5 goals against average. He stopped 33 of 34 shots and had a .97 save percentage. He made several key saves to keep the Rebels in each game. Saturday night's 3 - 0 shutout was Hanson's third on the season as a Rebel (four total). All three shutouts have come against the Titans. He is ranked sixth overall in the league with a 2.15 goals against average, and he is ranked tenth in the league with a .920 save percentage. This is the fifth time this season that Hanson has received either weekly or monthly league honors.

Balsamo had three points on the weekend (two goals and one assist). He opened the series on Friday night with a goal but it was his assist that helped the Rebels win. He won a draw deep in the Titans zone that went back to Kristofers Bindulis who scored the game winner fifteen seconds into overtime. He scored the first goal (and eventual game winning goal) in Saturday night's 3 - 0 victory. Balsamo is second on the team in goals (23) and overall points (45). This is the third time this season that Balsamo has received either weekly or monthly league honors.
