May 29, 2026 - It was a whirlwind of a hockey season for Matt Hauser.
The Minnesota Wilderness defenseman first completed his senior year of Minnesota high school hockey with the Rogers Royals, then moved on to begin his junior career with the Wilderness. His time with the Wilderness resulted in helping them win a division title, followed by a playoff run that ended with their first appearance in the Robertson Cup final since 2015.

May 21, 2026 - It turns out Talan Blanck's efforts in the 2026 Robertson Cup Playoffs did not just establish new Minnesota Wilderness records, his goal scoring in the post-season tied a NAHL record.
Blanck's 12 tallies in his 12 post-season games tied the league mark for goals in a single playoff. He joins Karl Sellan of the Texas Tornado in 2006 and Dain Prewitt of the Fargo-Moorhead Jets in 2005 as the only players in NAHL history to reach the 12-playoff goal plateau.

May 21, 2026 - The Minnesota Wilderness' hopes to capture their second Robertson Cup title this season were dashed Tuesday night as they fell to the Maryland Black Bears 3-2 in overtime at the North American Hockey League (NAHL) Championship game.
At 5:25 of the extra period, Brady Anes redirected a shot from Josh Frenette into the Wilderness net, ending the title game and delivering the championship to Maryland.

The Wilderness take on the Maryland Black Bears Tuesday night in the Finals of the NAHL's Robertson Cup playoffs. They reached the championship round after defeating the Austin Bruins Saturday night, 7-3, to complete a sweep of the best 2-of-3 series, 2 games to none.
