June 11, 2026 - In 2025, the Minnesota Wilderness found its first pick in the NAHL Entry Draft on the roster of the Vernon Vipers of the BCHL. Forward Talan Blanck was that player, and he wound up being a centerpiece of a squad that finished with the franchise's best regular season ever and then set records while leading the team in scoring in a playoff run that ended with an overtime loss to the Maryland Black Bears in the Robertson Cup Final.

June 9, 2026 - The Minnesota Wilderness this week will have two opportunities to add to its list of protected players for the 2026-27 season.
The North American Hockey League is hosting two drafts - the first will be a futures draft Tuesday, June 9, followed by the league's annual entry draft on Wednesday, June 10.
For the Futures draft, all league squads will select two players. According to the NAHL website, this draft is designed to give players "early exposure to junior hockey and support their path to NCAA hockey through the NAH... Full Story
May 29, 2026 - It was a whirlwind of a hockey season for Matt Hauser.
The Minnesota Wilderness defenseman first completed his senior year of Minnesota high school hockey with the Rogers Royals, then moved on to begin his junior career with the Wilderness. His time with the Wilderness resulted in helping them win a division title, followed by a playoff run that ended with their first appearance in the Robertson Cup final since 2015.

May 21, 2026 - It turns out Talan Blanck's efforts in the 2026 Robertson Cup Playoffs did not just establish new Minnesota Wilderness records, his goal scoring in the post-season tied a NAHL record.
Blanck's 12 tallies in his 12 post-season games tied the league mark for goals in a single playoff. He joins Karl Sellan of the Texas Tornado in 2006 and Dain Prewitt of the Fargo-Moorhead Jets in 2005 as the only players in NAHL history to reach the 12-playoff goal plateau.
