
Wildcats To Practice In Petitcodiac

Moncton Wildcats News Release
Moncton, NB - A chance to see the Moncton Wildcats in action is being made available for hockey fans in the Petitcodiac area when the Cats come to the Petitcodiac Arena on March 3rd from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m.
The Wildcats will arrive in their new team bus, to hold a full series of drills and practice. In addition, bus tours will be available and an autograph signing session will be held following the workout.
"It will provide the fans in Petitcodiac and surrounding area a chance to meet the Wildcats and the coaching staff. For the team its an opportunity mingle with the community," said Bill Schurman, the Wildcats general manager. "We are always delighted when we have the opportunity to meet fans in their home town. It's March break week , which provides the chance for residents to attend the event. The will be able to see the Wildcats go through their regular practice and preparation for their final two road games of the season.. In addition the team is preparing for game two of the Rivalry Cup, on March 10th . Saint John has challenged Moncton to determine which city has the most dedicated fans. We know we'll have support for this game from the Petitcodiac area, " Schurman said.
Petitcodiac Arena manager Pat Lewis said the entire area is excited about having the Atlantic Division leading Wildcats visit. "Everyone in the area is excited about having the Wildcats come to see us. It's going to be the highlight of the season for minor hockey players. They see the Wildcats as their hockey heroes. We plan to have young hockey players from around the area, along with as many parents as possible be on hand for what promises to be a very exciting afternoon," Mr. Lewis said.
Admission for the practice is free.
