
Wildcats Stun Mooseheads 8-2 in Moose Country

The Wildcats certainly took the capacity crowd of 10,400 completely out of the game Sunday at Scotiabank Centre. Moncton scored early and often and routed the Moose 8-2 in Halifax.
The Cats poured in four 1st period goals and added four more in the second while the QMJHL's #1 powerplay struck three times - that makes six in two games! Leading the charge was 1st Star Julius Sumpf with two goals (16th & 17th) and one assist, Miles Müller also added a pair of goals (20th & 21st), while Vincent Collard scored his 25th. Rounding out the scoring were Thomas Auger (16th), Olivier Boutin (9th) and Adam Fortier-Gendron (6th). Preston Lounsbury was also a key contributor with three assists.
Jacob Steinman made 20 saves to record the win, the Wildcats fired 37 shots at both Jack Milner and Mathis Rousseau. The win evened the season series at 3-3.
