
Wildcats Drown Sea Dogs 7-3

The Moncton Wildcats ended the 22 game winning streak of the Saint John Sea Dogs with a convincing 7-3 victory on Sunday afternoon in front of 5298 fans.
Marek Hrivik, Randy Cameron and Scott Brannon each scored twice for Moncton with Mark Barberio getting the other Wildcats goal. Stanislav Galliev had a pair for Sea Dogs, Tomas Jurco the other.
It was tied 1-1 at the first, the Wildcats scored four straight in the second including two short handed goals 49 seconds apart, one of which was a penalty shot by Scott Brannon.
The Cats added two more in the third while the Sea Dogs added a single for the final 7-3 count. Moncton has now won six straight games.
The three stars went to the Wildcats, number one was Scott Brannon, the second star was Randy Cameron and Marek Hrivik was star number three.
On the power play, the Cats were 3 for 6, the Sea Dogs 0 for 4. The Wildcats outshot Saint John, 39 -30.
The Wildcats wrap up their home stand with a Tuesday night game against the Halifax Mooseheads at 7 o'clock.
