
Wildcats Down Bruins on Showcase's Final Day

Austin Bruins News Release
The Bruins geared up for the final day of the North American Hockey League Showcase as they squared off against the Wichita Falls Wildcats of the South Division.
The Wildcats got on the board first Austin Adduono went five hole on Tyler Bruggeman. The Bruins had their chances as well as shots are even at 13 apiece. At the first intermission the Bruins were trailing 1-0.
The second period the Wildcats were able to score shorthanded making it a 2-0 lead. The Wildcats than scored on a power play courtesy of Nathan Chasteen. The Bruins had plenty of chances to score in the first two periods as they outshot the Wildcats 27-24.
The final period the Bruins were able to slide one past Tyler Green as Brandon Wahlin scored, assists went to John Kirby and Trevor Waldoch. The Wildcats got one more before the period ended making it a 4-1 victory for the Wildcats.
Tyler Green played excellent for the Wildcats as he steered aside 29 shots in the Wildcat victory.
The Bruins will kick open the season at Riverside Arena on October 1st against the Aberdeen Wings.
