Wildcats Come up One Short in Saint John
December 30, 2019 - Quebec Major Junior Hockey League (QMJHL) - Moncton Wildcats News Release
In the Wildcats first game back after the Christmas break they went head-to-head with NB rivals, the Saint John Sea Dogs at Harbour Station.
Headed into the game the Wildcats were 3-1 vs. the Sea Dogs, only losing their opening game of the season, but tonight would add another win to the Sea Dogs column. This game would go in the books as a 1-0 win, the Wildcats lowest scoring game of the season and only the second time begin held scoreless in a match.
The lone Sea Dogs goal went to Nicolas Deakin=Poot at 9:21 of the opening frame. With the Wildcats outshooting Saint John 34-11 it just wasn't our night to get anything past Mikhail Denisov.
These two teams will meet once again on January 3rd at 7:00 p.m. at the Avenir Centre. Get your tickets at the Subaru of Moncton Box Office or online at https://www1.ticketmaster.ca/moncton-wildcats-v-saint-john-sea-dogs/event/310054F080491557
