Antoine Demers Named Ultramar Player of the Week for Week 14

Boucherville, QC - The latest Ultramar Player of the Week is Blainville-Boisbriand Armada center, Antoine Demers. In a pair of games, the 20-year-old from Sherbrooke, Quebec scored once and added five assists, guiding the Armada to a 2-0 showing.

On Saturday afternoon in Quebec City, Demers produced a pair of second period assists, including a helper on the eventual game-winner, in the Armada's 7-2 triumph over the Remparts. The fourth-year forward recorded a +/- rating of +2 for the game.

Moving on to Rimouski Sunday afternoon, Demers would fire home the eventual game-winning goal with 21 seconds remaining in the second period. He would also add three helpers for his second career four-point contest and earn first star honors for the match in the Armada's 5-2 triumph over the Oceanic. Additionally, Demers' goal was historic in that it was the 2000th scored in the history of the Armada franchise.

After starting the season with Blainville-Boisbriand, Demers spent 11 games with the Chicoutimi Sagueneens before returning to the Armada during the holiday break. Overall, he has registered 13 points in 11 games with the Armada, good for totals of 20 points in 22 games this campaign. Demers was originally selected by the Shawinigan Cataractes in the eighth round of the 2016 QMJHL Draft.
