South Georgia Wildcats News Release
ALBANY, GA- The South Georgia Wildcats announced today they have reached an agreement with the club's healthcare sponsors which extends their relationship for an additional three years. Palmyra Medical Centers along with Albany Arthritis & Orthopedic Center and Premier Orthopedics (formally Albany Orthopedic Center) have agreed to provide healthcare services through this major Wildcats sponsorship.
Darren McPhail, Wildcats General Manager, said the team is very excited to have the healthcare sponsorship in place for three more years. "This partnership has been positive for all parties, but more importantly, the healthcare program has been instrumental in the Wildcats overall success," said McPhail. "It is exciting for us, as we close out our third and most successful year in Albany, to know we will maintain this strong relationship heading into next season."
Palmyra Medical Centers CEO Bud Wethington believes the relationship with the Wildcats will continue to strengthen each successive year. "We are delighted the healthcare team will be with the Wildcats for an additional three years," said Wethington. "Our relationship has come along way in three seasons, and now we look forward to being an integral part of the team's success going forward."
Among the services provided to the team are, a full-time team trainer, pre- and post-season player physicals, medical coverage for all tryouts, training camp and games, setting up a training center and needed medical care for players in the event of injury.
In addition to the healthcare package, the medical team also supports the Wildcats through a major signage sponsorship at the Civic Center. Palmyra Medical Centers is also the official game ball sponsor to the Wildcats.
