Wildcats add Player to Roster

South Georgia Wildcats News Release


ALBANY, GA- The South Georgia Wildcats today announced that Cory Bailey, 2006 1st Team All Conference (American Conference) Defensive Specialist and a former Florida Firecat has been assigned to the Wildcats roster and will be on the field Saturday night when South Georgia plays host to Florida in a key division match-up. Kick-off will be at 7:30.

Bailey, a 5'11 195 pound defensive back from the University of Florida spent most of training camp with the AFL's New Orleans Voodoo. "Cory is a playmaker that will make an immediate impact on our secondary and our defense. It will be exciting to have such a great trio in Bailey, Daryon Brutley and Matt Jackson in the Wildcats secondary," said Head Coach Derek Stingley.

The Wildcats are currently tied with the Alabama Steeldogs and the Tennessee Valley Vipers with a record of 3-2 behind the South Division leader, the Florida Firecats with a record of 4-2.

Saturday Night is also "Pack the house for Florida" Night at the Civic Center, where the first 1000 people through the door will receive a free Wildcats T-Shirt, and the next 1000 will receive a pair of Thunder Sticks to help cheer the Wildcats to victory.
