Wildcats add experience to their roster

ALBANY, GA- The South Georgia Wildcats have been assigned Offensive/Defensive lineman Brian Huff, OL/DL Jason Perry, WR/DB Ross Dalton and OL/DL Jason Hemphill by the arenafootball2 league office.

Huff, (6-6, 315 pounds), returns to the Wildcats after seeing action in seven games with them in 2004. Huff recorded 10 tackles and 2.5 sacks for the ‘Cats last season. The center joins the Wildcats by way of the University of Central Florida.

Perry, (6-0, 285 pounds), enters his fifth season in the af2. Perry has totaled 30 tackles (18 solo), two sacks, four pass break-ups and two forced fumbles during his career. He played for the Macon Knights from 2002-2004 and saw action with the Columbus Wardogs in 2001.

Dalton, (6-3, 222 pounds), will return to the af2 for his second season. Dalton played for the Norfolk Nighthawks during the 2003 season. In six games, Dalton recorded 21 receptions for 287-yards and three touchdowns. He also had 17 tackles (9 solo) and three pass break-ups. Dalton played safety at the University of Nevada Las Vegas. In 25 games with the Rebels, Dalton had 33 tackles (17 solo) and one blocked kick.

Hemphill, (6-0, 310 pounds), will enter his first season in the arenafootball2 league. Hemphill joins the Wildcats by way of Benedict College.

The Wildcats are entering their fourth season in the arena football league and their first in Albany, Georgia. The Wildcats will kickoff the 2005 season against in-state rival Macon Knights on April 9th at the Albany Civic Center. Wildcats season tickets are now on sale starting at just $70.
