Washington, PA-The Wild Things organization is pleased to announce that former Washington standout CJ Beatty has returned to the club roster. Beatty's re-signing was made official on May 13, 2015.

A two-time Frontier League All-Star, Beatty rejoins the Wild Things after his contract was purchased by the Chicago White Sox organization on August 12, 2014. Beatty played 13 games with the Winston-Salem Dash, the White Sox's Advanced-A affiliate, in 2014, batting .222 with one home run and six RBI.

In his two seasons with Washington, Beatty cemented himself as an offensive weapon. Prior to leaving for Winston-Salem, Beatty was one of the top hitters in the Frontier League during the 2014 season with 18 home runs and 57 RBI. In 2013, Beatty led the Wild Things with 26 doubles and 66 RBI during his rookie campaign.

This winter, the 26-year-old outfielder played winter ball in Australia for the Brisbane Bandits of the Australian Baseball League. Beatty posted a .281 batting average with five home runs, 14 RBI and a team-best two triples. Beatty also played for the Bandits in 2012.

Beatty not only brings back to Washington a prominent bat and effective glove (he holds a career fielding percentage of .942), he also brings back an enthusiastic personality. In his two seasons with the Wild Things, Beatty took over the persona of team motivator through his rambunctious attitude and positive outlook on both life and baseball.

The Wild Things will start their pursuit for a Frontier League Championship on Friday, May 15 when they host the Schaumburg Boomers for a three-game series. Fans interested in purchasing tickets should visit the team website at www.washingtonwildthings.com or call the front office at (724)-250-9555.
