
Wild Things Drop Game Two to Otters 4-3

Washington, PA - the Washington Wild Things (25-24), presented by Washington Federal Savings Bank, fell to the Evansville Otters by a score of 4-3 Saturday at CONSOL Energy Park.
The Wild Things scored in the first inning when Nathan Messner drove in Chris Sidick. Then in the second inning Brett Grandstrand smacked an RBI double to score Chris Carrara. Grandstrand went on to score on an attempted pick off, increasing Washington's lead to three.
However, Center Fielder Luke Hetherington put Evansville on the board the seventh inning when Ryan Bethel drove him in. And the Otters took the lead in the ninth inning, chalking up three runs. Hetherington smacked a two run homer; and Isaac Omura drove in Bethel.
Chris Rivera (1-3) took the loss for the Wild Things. Starter Brooks Dunn went seven innings, allowing one run on four hits.
The Wild Things and Otters meet for game three of the series Sunday when first pitch is scheduled for 6:35 p.m. Air time on WJPA 95.3 FM is 6:25 p.m. The first 1000 fans at CONSOL Energy Park for the game will receive a Wild Thing Bobble Head, courtesy of CONSOL Energy. Tickets are available at the box office.
