HOUSTON, Texas - Minnesota Wild President and General Manager Doug Risebrough today announced the National Hockey League (NHL) club has recalled goaltender Nolan Schaefer and right wing Aaron Voros from the Houston Aeros of the American Hockey League (AHL).

Schaefer, 27 (1/15/80), is 2-4-0 with a 2.93 goals against average (GAA) and a .902 save percentage in six games with the Aeros this season. The 6-foot-2, 195-pound native of Yellow Grass, Sask., was recalled by the Wild earlier this season on Oct. 27 and served as the team's back-up goaltender for two contests before being reassigned to Houston on Nov. 1. He was San Jose's fifth-round pick (No. 166 overall) in the 2000 NHL Entry Draft. Minnesota signed Schaefer as a free agent on July 3, 2007. Schaefer is 5-1-0 with a 1.88 GAA in seven career NHL games - all with San Jose. He will wear sweater #31 with the Wild.

Voros, 26 (7/2/81), has recorded eight points (4-4=8) and 46 penalty minutes (PIM) in 12 contests with Houston this season. The 6-foot-3, 205-pound forward leads the Aeros in PIM, ranks second on the team in scoring and tied for second in goals. Minnesota acquired Voros from the New Jersey Devils in exchange for a 2008 seventh round draft pick on March 1, 2007. He recorded AHL career-highs with 16 goals and 30 points in 73 games with the Albany River Rats in 2005-06. The Vancouver, British Columbia-native notched 62 points (36-26=62) and 275 PIM in 89 games during three seasons with the University of Alaska Fairbanks of the Central Collegiate Hockey Association (CCHA) from 2001-04 and was named to the CCHA All-Rookie Team in 2002. He was selected by the New Jersey Devils in the 8th round (229th overall) of the 2001 NHL Entry Draft. Voros has not appeared in an NHL game and will wear sweater #34 with Minnesota.

The Houston Aeros head to take on Peoria Friday night at 7 p.m. and play in Chicago Saturday night at 7 p.m. The Aeros return home to play San Antonio on Tuesday, November 20 for a Happy Hour game at 7:05 p.m.
