
Senators assign Derek Smith & Shawn Weller to Elmira

BINGHAMTON, N.Y. - The Ottawa Senators, the parent club of the Binghamton Senators, today reassigned defenseman Derek Smith and left wing Shawn Weller to the Elmira Jackals of the ECHL.
Smith, 23, registered no points and a +2 rating in six games for the B-Sens this season.
Weller, 21, has six penalty minutes in eight games for the B-Sens this year. In a prior stint with Elmira this season, Weller collected one assist in his lone game with the Jackals.
