SAN ANTONIO- Sam Anas recorded a goal and an assist and Alex Stalock stopped 30 shots to lift the Iowa Wild (17-18-2-1) to a 4-1 victory over the San Antonio Rampage (16-19-2-0) Friday night at the AT&T Center.
Iowa opened the scoring late in the first period when Christoph Bertschy beat a Rampage defenseman down the ice and snapped a shot past Jeremy Smith at the 18:22 mark.
The Wild added two more goals from Anas at 5:36 and Jeff Hoggan at 12:36 of the second period to extend their advantage to 3-0, before J.T. Compher got the Rampage on the board at 14:46 with a shot past Wild goaltender Stalock. A.J. Greer collected the primary assist, extending his scoring streak to a season and team-high eight games.
Zack Mitchell's power-play goal at 6:56 of the third period added extra security for the Wild, extending Iowa's winning streak to three games.
