Wild bolster offense with WR Billy Sewell and WR/DB "Big Play" Jay Williams

Your Alaska Wild added firepower to the offense this week by signing WR Billy Sewell and WR/DB Jay Williams to the roster. Sewell (6'6", 230),who has been delayed a week because of Mt. Redoubt, has been touted as a "Randy Moss" type receiver. Sewell played one season at Central Missouri and most recently at West Los Angeles College. Sewell's sophomore season he tallied 25 sacks, 125 tackles, 6 interceptions and 22 blocked kicks at outside linebacker and defensive end while being named All-State, All-Conference, All-California and was a Preseason All-American. At receiver, Sewell had 43 catches for 600 yards and seven touchdowns. Sewell played at West Los Angeles with current Wild receiver Solomon Jones.

"Big Play" Jay Williams(6'4", 210 lbs) is a big, physical player out of Portland State University, who spent the 2007 and 2008 seasons with the San Angelo Stampede Express. In the 2007 season Williams played in 3 games and had 18 catches and 5 touchdowns. In 2008 in San Angelo, Williams had 29 catches, 5 touchdowns, 32 tackles, three interceptions and two fumble recoveries. Williams also played in AF2 in 2005 with the Green Bay Blizzard and with the Ohio Valley Greyhounds of the UIFL.
