Wichita’s A.J. Gale Named Sher-Wood Central Hockey League Player of the Month

TEMPE, AZ (January 6, 2011) -The Central Hockey League announced today that forward A.J. Gale of the Wichita Thunder has been named the Sher-Wood Central Hockey League Player of the Month for December/2010. Gale will receive a Sher-Wood/CHL logoed watch courtesy of Sher-Wood and the Central Hockey League to recognize his accomplishment.

Gale finished December with nine goals and 12 assists in 13 games played. Additionally, the 23-year-old was a +3 and had four power play goals and one game winning goal. The Thunder went 7-6-0 as a team in December and in their seven wins, Gale recorded six goals and six assists.

The Nanaimo, British Columbia native recorded points in 11 of the Thunder ‚¬â„¢s 13 games and multiple-point efforts in five of those contests. On the season, Gale has recorded 14 goals and 17 assists in 30 games played. Last year, his rookie season, the 5-11, 180-pound forward scored 15 goals with 10 assists in 58 games played with the Texas Brahmas.
