WHL to Host 2019 Bantam Draft on Thursday

Kennewick, WA - The 2019 WHL Bantam Draft will take place Wednesday, May 2nd at 7:30 AM (PDT) in Red Deer, AB. The Tri-City Americans have 10 picks in this year's draft. They are set to make their first selection during the second round (33rd overall).

Players eligible for the 2019 WHL Bantam Draft will be 2004-born players who reside in Alberta, B.C., Manitoba, Saskatchewan, Northwest Territories, Yukon, Alaska, Arizona, California, Colorado, Hawaii, Idaho, Kansas, Minnesota, Montana, Nebraska, Nevada, New Mexico, North Dakota, Oklahoma, Oregon, South Dakota, Texas, Utah, Washington and Wyoming.

Tri-City enters the draft without a first-round pick following the January 2018 trade with Calgary for defenseman Jake Bean.

Round 3 - 55th Overall

Round 5 - 97th Overall (from Red Deer)

Round 6 - 121st Overall

Round 7 - 143rd Overall

Round 8 - 165th Overall

Round 11 - 231st Overall

Round 12 - 253rd Overall
