Ahead of the Draft Presented by Canad Inns: ICE Prospects Who Made Their WHL Debut During the 2018-19 Season

Winnipeg, MB - The 2018-19 regular season saw eight promising Winnipeg ICE prospects make their WHL debut.
All eight prospects were drafted by the organization in either the 2017 or 2018 WHL Bantam Draft.
In Ahead of the Draft presented by Canad Inns, let's take a look at the eight prospects who debuted with the ICE last season:
CARSON LAMBOS
The ICE selected Carson Lambos second overall in the 2018 WHL Bantam Draft.
The Winnipeg, Manitoba native made his WHL debut against the Calgary Hitmen on September 22, 2018. Lambos played a total of five games for the ICE during the 2018-19 campaign collecting his first career goal against the Brandon Wheat Kings on January 19, 2019.
In addition, the six-foot, 200-pound defender suited up in 23 regular season games for RHA Prep of the CSSHL, scoring 14 goals and adding 16 assists for 30 points. He added one goal in three playoff games. Lambos was awarded defenceman of the year for his age group.
Also, Lambos was the captain of Team Manitoba at the 2019 Canada Winter Games in Red Deer.
OWEN PEDERSON
The ICE selected Owen Pederson in the fifth round (89th overall) in the 2017 WHL Bantam Draft.
The Stony Plain, Alberta native made his WHL debut against the Saskatoon Blades on November 1, 2018. In late December, Pederson was recalled by the team for the remainder of the season.
The six-foot-three, 181-pound forward played in 37 games for the ICE during the 2018-19 campaign scoring four goals and adding three assists for seven points. Pederson scored his first career goal against the Red Deer Rebels on November 17, 2018.
KARTER PROSOFSKY
The ICE selected Karter Prosofsky in the second round (26th overall) in the 2018 WHL Bantam Draft.
The five-foot-eight, 155-pound defenceman played his first WHL game against the Saskatoon Blades on November 1, 2018. Prosofsky also suited up against the Moose Jaw Warriors a couple of days later.
The Saskatoon, Saskatchewan native spent the 2018-19 campaign with the Saskatoon Blazers of the SMHL. Prosofsky played in 38 regular season games scoring five goals and adding 21 assists for 26 points. Prosofsky added two assists in two playoff games.
In addition, Prosofsky was a member of Team Saskatchewan at the 2019 Canada Winter Games in Red Deer.
ANSON MCMASTER
The ICE selected Anson McMaster in the second round (23rd overall) in the 2017 WHL Bantam Draft.
During the 2018-19 WHL regular season, the Siksika, Alberta native played in 10 games for the ICE. McMaster made his WHL debut against the Prince Albert Raiders on November 2, 2018. The six-foot-five, 193-pound defender collected his first WHL point against the Red Deer Rebels on March 17.
McMaster also played in 29 games with the Okotoks Oilers of the AMHL where he scored nine goals and added 12 assists for 21 points.
BEN ZLOTY
The ICE selected Ben Zloty in the sixth round (111th overall) in the 2017 WHL Bantam Draft.
On November 9, the Calgary, Alberta native made his WHL debut against the Edmonton Oil Kings. Zloty followed that up with games against Saskatoon and Calgary on November 10 and 11 respectively.
The five-foot-10, 166-pound defenceman spent the 2018-19 season with the Calgary Royals of the AMHL. Zloty scored four goals and added 23 assists for 27 points in 30 games for the Royals. He also played in 13 playoff games adding three goals and seven points.
MICHAEL MILNE
The ICE selected Michael Milne in the eighth round (155th overall) in the 2017 WHL Bantam Draft.
Milne started the 2018-19 campaign with the Fraser Valley Thunderbirds of the BCMML, however, the ICE recalled the Abbotsford, BC native for the remainder of the season on November 15, 2018. Milne made his WHL debut against the Calgary Hitmen the next day.
The five-foot-10, 176-pound forward played 40 games for the ICE scoring three goals and adding four assists for seven points. Milne potted his first WHL marker against the Prince Albert Raiders on November 24.
JAMES FORM
The ICE selected James Form in the third round (45th overall) in the 2017 WHL Bantam Draft.
The Saskatoon, Saskatchewan native donned an ICE jersey for the first time and made his WHL debut against the Moose Jaw Warriors on November 28. In total, Form suited up for the ICE eight times during the 2018-19 campaign.
Form spent most of the season with the Saskatoon Blazers of the SMHL. In 21 regular season games, the six-foot-one, 169-pound forward scored 13 goals and added 14 assists for 27 points. He also added four goals and six points in 13 playoff games.
SKYLER BRUCE
The ICE selected Skyler Bruce in the second round (29th overall) in the 2018 WHL Bantam Draft.
The Winnipeg, Manitoba native made his WHL debut against the Seattle Thunderbirds on November 30.
The five-foot-eight, 131-pound forward spent the 2018-19 season with the RHA Elite 15s of the CSSHL. In 34 regular season games, Bruce potted 27 goals and added 37 assists for 64 points. He also added three goals and six points in four playoff games.
Along with Carson Lambos, Bruce was also a member of Team Manitoba at the 2019 Canada Winter Games in Red Deer.
The 2019 WHL Bantam Draft will take place on Thursday, May 2 in Red Deer, Alberta.
