
WHL Referee Adam Byblow Receives WHL Milestone Award

Saskatoon, Sask. - The Western Hockey League announced today WHL Referee Adam Byblow has been honoured with the WHL Milestone Award. Byblow was recognized by WHL Senior Director, Officiating Kevin Muench in a special ceremony prior to tonight's game between the Saskatoon Blades and Kamloops Blazers.
The WHL Milestone Award is presented to WHL players, coaches, trainers, officials and WHL Championship teams for their outstanding achievements.
"On behalf of the WHL and our member Clubs, we would like to congratulate Adam on receiving this prestigious WHL Milestone Award," commented WHL Commissioner Ron Robison. "It takes a tremendous commitment to be an official in the WHL and we would like to thank Adam for his remarkable service to our League over the past 21 seasons."
Byblow, in his 21st season with the WHL and 16th as a Referee, began his WHL Officiating career in 1998 and has worked more than 650 regular season games. The native of Saskatoon has skated in nine WHL Conference Championships Series and as well as the CIBC Canada Russia Series in 2009 and 2012.
In addition to his work as a WHL Referee, Byblow has received extensive opportunities through officiating, having skated in the U SPORTS men's hockey championship in 2013 and the National Junior A Championship on two occasions in 2000 and 2013.
Away from the rink, Byblow has enjoyed a successful career as a high school teacher for the past 18 years. He is supported by his three kids, Daxton, Emmeri, Tyce, and wife Denise.
