Mississippi Braves News Release
Pearl, MS - The Mississippi Braves announce that Warner Brothers Recording Artist Whitney Duncan will perform the National Anthem during pregame ceremonies at Trustmark Park on Monday, August 17th. She will also perform an acoustic set inside the main gate at Trustmark Park at 6:15.
A native of Scotts Hill, TN, Duncan combined with Mark Bright and John Shanks to write her debut album, Right Road Now. Bright had worked with notable artists such as Carrie Underwood, Rascal Flatts and Sara Evans while Shanks had experience with Sheryl Crow, Keith Urban and Kelly Clarkson.
The trio produced an album that introduces Duncan as an intriguing new voice in contemporary country music. Duncan wrote each song on the album with the assistance of Bright and Shanks.
"I've been down a few wrong roads musically," she said, "but it all feels right now - the right writers, the right songs, the right producers, the right team - the right road. It's really the perfect title for this record."
