Rio Grande Valley WhiteWings News Release

Harlingen - United League Baseball's Rio Grande Valley WhiteWings announced today they will be wearing special Hawaiian-style uniforms, courtesy of Local's Lounge, during Saturday's 7:05 p.m. home game at Harlingen Field to be auctioned off during and after the game.

There will be three ways to obtain these game-worn jerseys. Some of them will be raffled off during the game, others will be involved in a silent auction during the game, and the rest will be up for grabs during a live auction after the game.

All winners will have the opportunity to get their jersey autographed and to take a picture with the player after the game.

Gates open at 6:05, at which point raffle tickets can be purchased and bids can be made in the silent auction.

The WhiteWings will be facing the first-place San Angelo Colts. Tickets are still available and can be purchased online via etix.com, by calling the WhiteWings at 423-WING (9464), or in-person at the Harlingen Field box office.

The WhiteWings are members of United League Baseball, an independent league of six professional baseball teams located in Texas. In its fourth season, the United League is in the midst of a great summer with teams located in Amarillo, Edinburg, Coastal Bend, Laredo, Harlingen and San Angelo.
