HARLINGEN - The Rio Grande Valley WhiteWings scored in each of the first six innings in a 10-7 win over the Amarillo Dillas Friday at Harlingen Field.

The WhiteWings (27-32) are now winners of eight of their last ten games.

The WhiteWings struck right away against Richard Jessup (3-4). One out after Agustin Septimo drew a one-out four-pitch walk, Welinson Baez launched his fifth home run of the season to make it 2-0.

Arlon Quiroz led off the bottom of the second with a double and advanced all the way home on a wild pitch to make it 3-0.

Septimo led off the top of the third with a single and scored on a Yeurys Tejeda double. A wild pitch moved Tejeda to third, from where he scored on a sacrifice fly off the bat of Luany Sanchez to make it 5-0.

Tejeda belted his eighth home run of the season, a two-run shot in the bottom of the fourth, to make it 7-0.

Diaz and Septimo hit back-to-back RBI-single with two outs in the bottom of the fifth to make it 9-0.

Misael DeJesus (4-4) allowed two base runners through the first five innings. The Dillas (36-25) broke through in the top of the sixth when Julio Martinez hit a grand slam to make it 9-4.

That was it against DeJesus, who struck out seven in six innings of work.

Baez led off the bottom of the sixth with his second home run of the game to knock out Jessup with the score 10-4 WhiteWings.

Ruben De La Rosa allowed an RBI-single to Adam de la Garza and a two-run home run to Rodriguez as the Dillas climbed within three, but Mickey Cassidy recorded the final two outs for his third save.
