EDINBURG, Texas---The Edinburg Roadrunners allowed three home runs to the San Angelo Colts in a 7-0 loss Friday night at Foster Field.
Tim Haines (4-6) allowed three home runs, which accounted for all the Colts runs, in five innings pitched.
The Colts (32-29) got on the board in the first against Haines with a two-run home run by Jason Crosland making it 2-0 San Angelo.
Mark Ramos hit a one-out single in the bottom of the third and Ronnie Gaines then was hit by a pitch putting runners at first and second. Crosland followed with a three-run home run, his second of the game. After a walk to Joshua Collazo, Landon Camp hit his 10th home run of the season extending the Colts lead 7-0.
The Roadrunners (35-22) managed only four hits on the night and got one runner past second base.
Chandler Barnard (5-2) pitched a complete game shut-out while striking out six batters.
The Roadrunners and Colts will play the second game of this four-game series Saturday night at Foster Field. Wardell Starling (6-1) is expected to face Aaron Cunningham (4-5) with the first pitch scheduled for 7:05 p.m.
