Rio Grande Valley WhiteWings News Release
Harlingen, TX - Due to heavy rainfall over the last two days, as well as an approaching thunderstorm, the Harlingen WhiteWings (16-35) and San Angelo Colts (28-21) game scheduled for tonight at Harlingen Field has been postponed. It will be made up as part of a doubleheader consisting of two seven-inning games on Monday starting at 6:05 p.m. Gates will open at 5:05.
All tickets to tonight's game can be exchanged for tickets to any other upcoming WhiteWings game. This can be done at the WhiteWings box office, located at Harlingen Field.
This is the WhiteWings' second rainout in the last four days. The WhiteWings were rained out on Thursday in Laredo as well, forcing them to play their first doubleheader of the season last night.
The Colts have now been rained out three nights in a row. They were scheduled to play in Edinburg the last two nights.
The probable starters for tomorrow's doubleheader are right-hander Alex Gett (1-6) and left-hander Jorge Lugo (3-2) for the WhiteWings, while the Colts are expected to go with right-hander Luke Massetti (4-3) and left-hander Frank James Jr. (3-3).
