
Whitecaps Individual Game Tickets On Sale Tuesday

COMSTOCK PARK, MI - Individual tickets for all 2010 Whitecaps games go on sale Tuesday, January 26 at 10 a.m., the Whitecaps announced today.
The season begins on Thursday, April 8 at the Lake County (Ohio) Captains and the home schedule begins on Sunday, April 11 at 2 p.m. against the Fort Wayne TinCaps. Lake County joins the Bowling Green (Kentucky) Hot Rods as the two new teams in the Midwest League as it expands to 16 teams. Ticket prices will remain the same as last year: $13.00 for premium box seats, $11.00 for box seats, $9.50 for reserved seats and just $5.00 for lawn seats.
The Whitecaps have been working hard this offseason to put together an exceptional promotional schedule, which includes several popular promotions returning as well as new promotions that fans are sure to enjoy. Weekly promotions include:
Sunday - Family Day/Kids Eat Free presented by Helen DeVos Children's Hospital (play catch and get autographs from the team on the field before the game, and the first 1,000 kids eat free); Kids Run The Bases (after the game all kids can run the bases).
Monday - All Faiths Night presented by JQ 99 (bring a church or community bulletin to the box office and get half off box or reserved seats).
Tuesday - Fat Tuesday (get a reserved seat ticket and an all-you-can-eat special including hot dogs, fries, chips 'n cheese and Pepsi products - just $15.00 for adults and $10.00 for kids) and Senior Day presented by Bob Evans (half price box and reserved seats for all seniors 50 years old and better).
Wednesday - Wellness Wednesday presented by Priority Health (show your Priority Health card at the box office and receive $2 off a reserved ticket. Take a walk around the warning track before the game as well).
Thursday - Altogas Thrifty Thursday (enjoy $2 concessions specials, including 2 hot dogs, 20 oz beer, 22 oz soft drinks and soft pretzels).
Friday - Tiger Fridays (Tigers giveaways and an appearance by a former Detroit Tiger player every Friday beginning June 4).
Saturday - Fireworks presented by Farm Bureau Insurance (post-game every Saturday beginning in May).
Other highly anticipated dates on the 2010 schedule include Opening Day with Snuggie-style blankets for the first 1,000 fans presented by Fifth Third Bank (April 11); and theme nights on which Whitecaps players will wear special jerseys, including Autism Awareness Day (April 17), Sprint Breast Cancer Awareness Day (May 9), Star Wars Night (July 24), and Pink Floyd Night with a post-game Laser Light Show (August 26).
Appearances by Sid the Science Kid (May 16), ZOOperstars! (May 28), The Famous Chicken (June 3), Super Why (June 27), WordGirl (July 11), Jake the Diamond Dog and Clifford the Big Red Dog (August 1), BirdZerk! (August 4), and Myron Noodleman (August 25) highlight the schedule.
Special ticket mini plans have been built around the popular Altogas Thrifty Thursday and Tiger Fridays promotions. A nine-game Mug Club mini-plan is available for the Altogas Thrifty Thursday promotion; the plan includes a ticket to each of the nine Altogas Thrifty Thursday dates and will include a refillable drink mug and a Mug Club t-shirt as part of the package. A Tiger Fridays 6-Pack includes tickets to all Friday games from June to August (six games) and includes a guaranteed Tigers giveaway item each day, in addition to hot dog and soda vouchers for each game.
Discounted tickets for groups of 20 or more are on sale now, as are season ticket packages, including mini plans, partial season, flex books and full season plans.
