Whitecaps FC Welcome Irish Club Beechwood FC to Live Skills Clinic Presented by Canadian Tire Jumpstart

VANCOUVER, BC - Vancouver Whitecaps FC will welcome Dublin, Ireland based club Beechwood FC to Wednesday's #StayHome Live Skills Clinic presented by Canadian Tire Jumpstart.

To accommodate the time difference, Wednesday's skills clinic will be moved to 11 a.m. PT (7 p.m. in Dublin) from the usual time of 2 p.m. PT. A replay will be available immediately following the live session.

"A big thank you to Vancouver Whitecaps FC for the opportunity to take part in the live skills session," said Jack Ryan, technical director of Beechwood FC. "This is a fantastic initiative and really demonstrates the global nature of the football community. Having worked closely with some of the coaches at Whitecaps FC, I know that our kids and coaches are in for a quality session on Wednesday and we are all really looking forward to it. Thanks to coach Ewan Fisher for organizing and we look forward to building a relationship between the two clubs. One day in the future when this pandemic passes we would love to host the Whitecaps in Ireland."

"The collaboration that we have seen from clubs around the world throughout this pandemic is truly incredible. The invitation remains open to all clubs globally as we continue to build stronger relationships together."

Earlier this month the club hosted New Zealand's Waterside Karori AFC. Other clubs to have participated have come from throughout British Columbia, and across Canada including Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, Ontario, and Newfoundland & Labrador.
