
Whitecaps FC Goalkeeper Maxime Crepeau Suffers Fractured Thumb

REUNION, FL - Whitecaps FC goalkeeper Maxime Crépeau suffered a fractured left thumb during the second half of Sunday's match against Seattle Sounders FC. Crépeau will be scheduled to undergo surgery in Metro Vancouver and the club will continue to provide updates when available.
"I am very thankful for all the messages of support I've received from all over the globe," added Crépeau. "It touched me and my family deeply. I will always give everything I have on the field and this is just a minor setback for a major comeback. I hope to see you all soon. Stay safe and take care of your loved ones."
Vancouver Whitecaps FC will finish group stage play against Chicago Fire FC at the ESPN Wide World of Sports in Walt Disney World this Thursday, July 23. Kickoff is set for 6 a.m. PT with live coverage on TSN and TSN 1040.
