Vancouver Whitecaps FC News Release

VANCOUVER, BC - Vancouver Whitecaps FC will be expecting the club's biggest crowd of the 2022 MLS regular season when the 'Caps host Cascadia rivals Seattle Sounders FC at BC Place on Saturday night. Tickets remain available at whitecapsfc.com/tickets. To bring a youth soccer team to the match, fans can contact groups@whitecapsfc.com.

"This will be our biggest crowd of the MLS season, and our biggest at BC Place since the triumphant Canadian Championship Final in July," said Axel Schuster, Whitecaps FC chief executive officer. "We are going to need the full support of our fans to push us to an important victory over our closest rivals."

Back by popular demand after the Canadian Championship Final, the club is subsidizing 50 per cent off all drinks for fans to enjoy at Saturday's match, including both alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, from the time that gates open until kickoff.

The 'Caps largest regular season crowd so far this season was 18,643 at the home opener against New York City FC on March 5. A Vancouver record crowd of 24,307 attended the Canadian Championship Final on July 26 as the 'Caps won the Voyageurs Cup and qualified for the 2023 Concacaf Champions League.

Saturday's match also marks Youth Soccer Appreciation presented by Bell, with kids food combos, winners from Bell Skills Camps and the Bell skill activation challenge, as well as special youth participants singing the national anthems, in the PA booth, and in a halftime 100v2.

2023 Whitecaps FC season ticket memberships are now on sale. Fans who become members before October 1 will receive an exclusive member gift. To find out more visit whitecapsfc.com/seasontickets.
