Vancouver Whitecaps FC News Release
VANCOUVER, BC - Vancouver Whitecaps FC added additional experience to their roster on Wednesday, acquiring goalkeeper Bryan Meredith via trade from Inter Miami CF.
The nine-year professional, who has spent eight combined seasons with Seattle Sounders FC and San Jose Earthquakes before being selected by Miami in the 2019 Major League Soccer Expansion Draft, joins Vancouver in exchange for the 'Caps natural fourth-round selection in the 2021 MLS SuperDraft.
Meredith will join his new teammates in Southern California this week as the 'Caps continue their preseason camp. The 30-year old native of Scotch Plains, New Jersey is the third goalkeeper on the 'Caps roster, along with 2019 VWFC Player of the Year Maxime Crépeau and 20-year old BMO Academy System product Thomas Hasal.
The 'Caps kick off the 2020 MLS season in one month on Saturday, February 29 when they host Sporting Kansas City at BC Place. For more information on all ticket options, including single match tickets, premium services, 5-packs, groups, and youth tickets, visit whitecapsfc.com/tickets.
