(Rochester, NY)... Rochester Americans Equipment Manager Peter Bureaux will send tweets during his tenure with the National Hockey League Florida Panthers. Bureaux, who is in his fourth season in Rochester, will assist the Panthers' equipment staff from Friday, September 4th until Monday, September 21st. He will start tweeting this week to give Amerks fans updates on their favorite players and provide a behind-the-scenes look at life as an equipment manager.

Fans can follow Bureaux during his travels from South Florida to Nova Scotia to other spots around the U.S. by entering twitter.com/amerkshockey and choosing "follow" the posts. Bureaux enters his 15th season in hockey in 2009-10. Prior to joining the Amerks, he spent seven seasons with the Dayton Bombers of the ECHL (1999-2006). He also worked in the Ontario Hockey League for five seasons. Bureaux will discuss the Florida Panthers' four-day rookie camp, which opened on Monday, September 7th at incredible ICE in Coral Springs and concluded Thursday, September 10th. The camp included Panthers prospects Evgeny Dadonov, Keaton Ellerby, Jason Garrison, Dmitry Kulikov, Shawn Matthias and Michal Repik.

Florida will then open its main camp with medical and physical testing on Saturday, September 12th, before departing for Nova Scotia. The Panthers will hold their first on-ice practice of training camp on Sunday, September 13th at 9:00 a.m. in Port Hawkesbury. The Panthers play their first preseason game on Tuesday, September 15th in Halifax against the Ottawa Senators.

Rochester opens its 54th season in the American Hockey League against the Lake Erie Monsters at 7:05 p.m. on Saturday, October 3rd at The Blue Cross Arena at the Rochester War Memorial.
