Twilight Star Chaske Spencer Highlights Worcester Sharks Promotional Schedule

WORCESTER - Worcester Sharks President and CEO Michael T. Lehr announced the team's 2009-10 promotional schedule featuring three bobblehead give-aways, two celebrity appearances, and a special "Hero's Night," a tribute to the Worcester 6. In addition, Sharks individual tickets for the 2009-10 season will go on sale on Tuesday, September 15th at 10:00 a.m. Tickets can be purchased by contacting the Sharks front office, by visiting the DCU Center Box Office, or through Ticketmaster.
Back by popular demand, the Sharks will host two celebrity appearances. Tiffany Thornton, from the hit television show Sonny With A Chance, will sign autographs at the November 14th game against the Wolf Pack. Chaske Spencer from the movie series Twilight will sign autographs during the January 31st games vs. the Devils.
Three separate bobblehead nights are also featured on the promotional schedule. The first 3,000 fans will receive a Mike Moore bobblehead compliments of WTAG on January 9th while fans will receive a Ryan Vesce bobblehead compliments of WTAG on March 20th against the Bruins.
In addition, the first 3,000 fans in attendance at the Sharks Home Opener on October 17th will receive a Derek Joslin bobblehead courtesy of Saint Vincent Hospital and a magnet schedule compliments of Charter Communications.
On December 6th, the Sharks will wear a special third jersey on "Hero's Night," a tribute to the Worcester 6. Prior to the Sharks game, there will be a Guns N Hoses game and a special presentation.
Boston Red Sox rookie Aaron Bates and Wally the Green Monster will sign autographs on Youth Sports Night on January 16th.
The Sharks will host three high school double headers this season as Shrewsbury will battle Marlboro on January 9th, Auburn will skate against Hudson on January 16th, and St. John's will face St. Peter Marian on February 6th. One ticket will allow you admission to the high school and Sharks games.
"We are excited for another family friendly and affordable season full of promotions in Sharks Territory," said Lehr. "Our fourth season is going to be better than ever and we're delighted to bring great family entertainment and hockey to our fans."
The Sharks will wear a special "Be A Leader" jersey with a post game jersey auction on "Be A Leader" night on February 26th and the entire Sharks hockey team will sign autographs in a postgame autograph session on February 27th.
For the second straight season, fans may enjoy hot dogs for only $1 at all Wednesday night games at the DCU Center as part of $1 Dog Wednesdays.
As always, the Sharks will host a "Fan Appreciation Night" during the final home game which includes the annual "Parade of Champions" and several promotions and giveaways.
