Lethbridge, AB -- Led by Dallas Stars' first round draft choice Scott Glennie, the Brandon Wheat Kings ran their winning streak to four games Wednesday night with a 4-1 victory over the Hurricanes in Lethbridge.

Glennie scored once and set up another as the Wheat Kings won for the third time in three games on this week's 4-game road trip that comes to a close Friday night at the Penngrowth Saddledome in Calgary.

The 18-year old Winnipeg product, who was last week's Western Hockey League Player of the Week, extended his point scoring streak to five games as the Wheat Kings improved their record to 34-16-0-3, good for 71 points and a share of first place in the Eastern Conference with the Saskatoon Blades.

Glennie has four goals and 12 points over the course of his past five games.

"It's a fine line between playing the game in fifth game and playing the game in fourth gear," Brandon GM/Coach Kelly McCrimmon told Bruce Luebke on CKLQ's post-game show Wednesday. "When you have great work ethic, when you're relentless, it just improves every part of your game and I think that's one of the things that's happened."

Brodie Melnychuk, Aaron Lewadniuk and Toni Rajala had Brandon's other goals on Wednesday, while 20-year old center Jay Fehr added three assists in his second game back after missing six games with a leg injury.

Jacob De Serres made 26 saves for the Wheat Kings including twelve in the third period, during which Brandon was shorthanded four straight times.

Following Friday's game in Calgary, the Wheats will return home where they will play host to the Red Deer Rebels on Wednesday night. Tickets for that game are on sale now at the Keystone Centre box office (Pioneer Lounge), by calling 726-3555 or online at ticketmaster.ca.
