Brandon, MB - The Brandon Wheat Kings are proud to announce that prospect Isaac Davies has signed a WHL Scholarship and Development Agreement. Davies, from Carstairs, Alberta was selected by the Wheat Kings in the fourth round, 72nd overall in the 2023 WHL Prospects Draft in May.

"Isaac is a power forward type of player that combines skill, speed, and grit, with a good scoring touch,", said Chris Moulton, Director of Hockey Operations. "Like other recent picks in our prospect pool, Davies is high in character and is a very good athlete. He plays in the tough areas on the ice and can play a number of different styles up and down your lineup."

The 5-foot-10, 160-pound forward spent the 2022-23 season with the Airdrie Xtreme U15 AAA team, where he compiled 51 points (27G-24A) in 33 games. His 27 goals ranked him tied for the top ten in goal scoring in the Alberta Elite Hockey League U15 league last year.

The swift skating forward was recently invited to the 2023 Team Alberta Male Under -16 Summer Camp in Red Deer, vying for a spot on the 2023 WHL Cup roster this fall.

Davies becomes the fourth player from the Wheat Kings 2023 draft class to sign with the club, following 5th overall pick Jaxon Jacobson (Forward), 19th overall pick Giorgos Pantelas (Defenceman) and 28th overall pick Nigel Boehm (Defenceman).
