BRANDON M.B. - The Brandon Wheat Kings held their annual Awards Night last Friday in Westoba Place.

16 awards were handed out.

Maggie Janz Memorial Award | Presented by Glenda Zelmer

This award is given to the player who excels not only on the ice but in the classroom.

Winner: Quinn Mantei

McDonalds Community Minded Award | Presented by Melissa Young

This award is given to the player who commits time and effort to community initiatives over the course of the season.

Winners: Matthew Henry & Nolan Ritchie

20 Year Old Presentation | Owner Jared Jacobson

The two graduating players all receive their game jerseys as a gift at the end of the season

Shoppers Mall Fan Choice Award | Presented by

This award is voted on by YOU the fans.

Winner: Matthew Henry

Mike Adamski, Mazergroup Hardest Working Player Award | Presented by Mark Adamski & Candace Bowles

This award is named in memory of long time Wheat Kings P.A Announcer and Neelin High School Principal Mike Adamski and is given to the player deemed to be the hardest worker on and off the ice.

Winner: Brett Hyland

Keystone Centre Most Sportsmanlike Player Award | Presented by

This award is given to the player exemplifies class and sportsmanship throughout the season.

Winner: Rylen Roersma

Precision Toyota Unsung Hero Award | Presented by Scott and Jett Ball

This award is voted on by the coaching staff and is awarded to the player who may not get the accolades on the scoresheet or in the media, but is a respected leader and hard working player every night.

Winner: Kayden Sadhra-Kang

Manitoba Hydro Top Manitoba Born Player Award | Presented by

This award is given to the top player born in Manitoba.

Winner: Carson Bjarnason

3 Stars Award | Presented by Richardson Pioneer

This award is presented to the the player who received the most 3 stars honours throughout the regular season.

Rob Stouffer Memorial Trophy | Presented by Scott Hlady

This award is given to the Most Inspirational Player and is named in honour of long time Wheat Kings trainer Rob Stouffer who lost his battle with cancer in 2008.

Winner: Calder Anderson

Dennis Truscott Memorial Trophy | Presented by

This award is given to the team's Most Improved Player and is named in honour of long time Wheat King Dennis Truscott.

Winner: Logen Hammett

Brandon Sun Scoring Champion | Presented by Perry Bergson

This award is presented to the Wheat King with the most points during the regular season

Winner: Nate Danielson

Art Marshall Memorial Award | Presented by Bryan Mitchell

This award is presented to the top graduating player and is named after Brandonite and former Toronto Maple Leafs trainer Art Marshall

Winner: Nolan Ritchie

MNP Rookie of the Year Award | Presented by Patti Bell

This award is given to the top first year player on the Wheat Kings

Winner: Charlie Elick

Brad McCrimmon Memorial Trophy | Presented by Chelsea McCrimmon

This award is presented to the top defenseman and is named in honour of former Wheat King captain Brad McCrimmon.

Meigan Hadad Law MVP Award | Presented by Karla Dane and Family

This award is given to the Most Valuable Player
