
What a Way to End the Season

FORT MILL, S.C. - September 1, 2008 - The Knights finished the season strong with a 6-1 win over the visiting Durham Bulls in front of 5,364 fans on Labor Day season finale.
The Knights got on the board early thanks to an early RBI double from first baseman Royce Huffman. Starting pitcher Charlie Haeger pitched a complete game to earn his 10th victory of the season. Outfielder Jason Bourgeois stole a pair of bases, giving him 30 on the season.
Infielder Oney Guillen, son of White Sox manager Ozzie Guillen, made his Triple-A debut and went 1-3 with a double in the game. The win gives the Knights 63 on the season, matching last seasons mark.
Prior to the game outfielder Jerry Owens, catcher Paul Phillips, infielder Chris Getz, infielder Josh Fields, pitcher Mike MacDougal, pitcher Lance Broadway and pitcher Ehren Wassermann were recalled to Chicago. All were part of September call-ups.
