
WETM-2 and MAGIC FM to provide unprecedented Jackals coverage

ELMIRA, NY - The Elmira Jackals, in conjunction with WETM-2 and MAGIC FM, announced today their 2007-08 television and radio broadcast schedule that will provide the Jackals and their fans the most extensive coverage in the team's history.
WETM-2 will be producing 12 live broadcasts from First Arena including 11 Friday contests and one "flex game" to be announced at a later date. WETM-2's coverage begins with the club's first regular season contest on Friday, October 19th, when the Wheeling Nailers make their first visit ever to Elmira. A complete schedule of games appears below:

Jackals radio play-by-play voice Grady Whittenburg and WETM-2's Scott Mayer will form the announcing team for every live telecast beginning at 7:30 p.m. each night. WETM-2 can be seen on Time Warner Cable channel 11 in Elmira, Corning, Watkins Glen, Elkland, and Lawrenceville.
Fans can follow the Jackals on the radio for a second consecutive season on MAGIC FM (92.7/97.7), part of Route 81 Radio. MAGIC FM will provide live coverage of all 72 regular season games and all playoff contests. Each broadcast begins with the Hill Top Inn Countdown to Face Off, a 30-minute preview of that night's game and other happenings from around the ECHL.
All four preseason games will air live on MAGIC FM with an abbreviated 10-minute pre-game show on the October 11th, 12th, and 13th broadcasts. A full 30-minute pre-game show will air for the club's only preseason road game October 15th against the Reading Royals beginning at 6:35 p.m..
The Jackals will be announcing the location and first air date for its weekly radio show early next week. The show will air on Route 81's sister stations NewsTalk 1230/1450.
All radio broadcasts will available for listeners outside the Twin Tiers via the "Listen Live" link on the home page of the Jackals official web site at www.jackalshockey.com.
Elmira opens its first ECHL preseason with three games this week at First Arena: Thursday, October 11th, against Reading (7:05 p.m.), Friday, October 12th, and Saturday, October 13th, versus Trenton at 7:35 p.m. both nights. Tickets are on sale now at the Arena box office (Gray Street), by calling 722-3711 and on-line at www.ticketmaster.com.
