
Western Conference Finals - Game 3 Preview: Guelph Storm at Saginaw Spirit

Guelph Storm News Release
Game 3 of the Western Finals between the Guelph Storm and the Saginaw Spirit takes place Monday April 22nd at 7:00pm at the Sleeman Centre in Guelph.
After the Spirit's 7-2 game one win, Guelph and Saginaw played a very low scoring and close game late into the third period of game two. The Storm were awarded a 5 minute power play after MacKenzie Entwistle was elbowed in the head by Justin Murray, and they were able to score two quick power play goals to give the Storm a 3-2 lead with only a couple minutes left in the game. Isaac Ratcliffe took a undisciplined penalty late in the period that gave the Spirit a power play which resulted in a goal by Bode Wilde with 1:17s remaining. With the game in overtime, Ryan McLeod split the Guelph defence and chipped a puck over Anthony Popovich to give the Saginaw Spirit a 4-3 win and a 2-0 series lead.

In the opening round against Kitchener, Nate scored 2 goals and 8 assists for 10 points, which included a 4 assist night in game three. In the second round against the London Knights, Schnarr collected 2 goals 2 assists in the 7 game series.
